How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,a, etc) in My Computer

Go to regedit.   then navigate to:-HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer

Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives(it is case sensitive). Now modify it’s value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .Now restart your computer. So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone…). To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.Again restart your computer.You can now see all the drives again


How To Enable “Show Hidden Files Option” When Disabled By a Virus

Most of us have this problem, Sometimes when virus attack our computer it disable the “Show hidden files and folders” option than even if we select the option Show hidden files and folders from the folder option window, the changes just disappear upon closing the dialog. It is because virus has attacked your registry file. So here is the solution to the problem:-

Go to Run than type regedit and click Ok.

Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion
ExplorerAdvancedFolderHiddenSHOWALL

Look at the “CheckedValue” key. This should be a DWORD key. Check its value If the value is not 1 then make it 1.
If “CheckedValue” key is not there then Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with a value of 1.

Now open My Computer, on the toolbar go to Tools > Folder Option and click on the View tab.
The “Show hidden files & folders” will work properly!!!

१) धेरै जसो ल्यापटपहरुमा स्क्रिनको लाईट डिम गर्ने सुबिधा रहेको हुन्छ, यदि तपाईंको ल्यापटपमा यो सुबिधा छ र आफ्नो ल्यापटपको battery लाई लामो समय टिकाउन चाहनु हुन्छ भने स्क्रिनलाई डिम गरेर राख्नुहोस् ।
२) ITunes, डेस्क्टप सर्च जस्ता प्रोग्रामले CPU को लोड बढाउने काम गर्छ जसको कारण battery धेरै खपत हुन्छ त्यसैले यदि तपाईं battery मा काम गर्दै हुनु हुन्छ भने यस्ता प्रोग्रामहरु सके सम्म नचलाउनुहोस् ।
३) USB डिभाइस, WiFi आदीले पनि battery धेरै खपत गरी रहेका हुन्छन त्यसैले यदि यि प्रोग्रामको प्रयोग भई रहेको छैन भने यसलाई हटाएर शटडाउन गरेर राख्ने गर्नुहोस् । यदि तपाईं आईपड लाई ल्यापटपबाट charge गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ भने battery को life प्रभाबित हुन्छ यो कुरा याद राख्नुहोस् ।
४) सि.डि वा डि.भि.डि ल्यापटपमा जब प्रयोग गर्नु हुन्छ तब धेरै power खपत हुने गर्छ । यदि तपाईंले यसको प्रयोग गर्नु भएको छैन तर सि.डि रोम मा सि.डि राखी नै राख्नु भएको छ भने पनि power खपत भई नै रहेको हुन्छ त्यसैले रोम भित्र सि.डि राखीनराख्नुहोस् ।
५) battery को मेटल connect बेला बेलामा सफा गरीरहनु होस् , लगभग १ / १ महिनामा , यसले battery बाट power ट्रान्स्फर रामो सँग हुन्छ ।
६) battery लाई एक पल्ट फुल charge गरीसकेपछि त्यसलाई लामो समय सम्म use नगरिकन छाड्ने नगरनुहोस्, एक पल्ट चार्ज गरी सके पछि कमसेकम हप्तामा १ चोटि भए पनि use गर्ने गर्नुहोस् । त्यस्तै battery लाई लामो समय सम्म discharge पनि छोड्ने नगरनुहोस् ।
७) ल्यापटपलाई स्ट्यान्डबाइ mode मा हैन हाइबर्नेट mode मा राख्ने गर्नुहोस् । ल्यापटपलाई स्ट्यान्डबाइ mode मा राख्दा power त बच्छ तर हाइबर्नेटमा जस्तो बच्दैन ।
८) यदि तपाईं battery बाट ल्यापटपमा काम गर्दै हुनु हुन्छ भने एक पटकमा एउटै मात्र काम गर्ने गर्नुहोस् , तपाईं कुनै काम गर्दै हुनु हुँदैछ त्यही बेला गीत पनि सुन्दै हुनु हुँदैछ र आफ्नो ईमेल पनि चेक गर्दै हुनु हुँदैछ भने यो याद राखुहोस् कि तपाईंले आफ्नो battery लाई ज्यादा भार दिदै हुनु हुँदैछ ।
९) यदि तपाईं ल्यापटपमा game खेल्दै हुनुहुन्छ त्यसमाथी सि.डि रोममा सि.डि राखेर भने तपाईंको battery धेरै बेर सम्म टिक्ने वाला छैन ।
१०) त्यसो त आजकाल नयाँ नयाँ टेक्नोलोजी आउँदै छ त्यस्तै नयाँ नयाँ battery हरु पनि , दिन भरी टिक्ने battery हरु पनि उपलब्ध भईसकेका छन त्यसैले नयाँ ल्यापटप किन्दै हुनु हुन्छ भने यो कुराको पनि याद राख्नुहोस्

Now its Default Value Is 4800000
Change The Value To 40000

Disable copy paste function on Window

Sometimes we have important files that we don't want to share with others.
But, how if people accidentally find those files and duplicate or sent them to their portable storage.

To avoid above condition, simply applying this simple tip and the copy paste function will be unavailable.

Here are the steps:
1. Click Start>Run>type regedit then ok
2. Click HKEY_LOCALMACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control
3. Right click on Control choose New>Key then name it StorageDevicePolicies
4. Right click on StorageDevicePolicies then choose New>DWordValue then name it WriteProtect
5. Double click on WriteProtect, then change its value to 1
6. Then restart your computer

If succeeds, Error Copying File or Folder warning will now appear when trying to copy paste files

To return to default condition, simply change the value become 0 again


Delete Uninstalled Applications from Add/Remove Programs List

Did you ever find an application still listed on Add/Remove Programs though you've surely uninstalled it before?

This could happen because of imperfect uninstallation process or the uninstaller itself is a faulty-built one.

This trick will help you to remove those applications permanently from Add/Remove Programs.

Here are the steps:
1. Click Start>Run and then type regedit.
2. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
3. Look at its below subkey and search for application that you'd like to delete.
4. Right click on that application then choose delete or simply press Delete button.
5. Now close/exit the Registry Editor window.

Now go to Add/Remove Programs and notice that application has been clearly removed from the list by using this simple trick.



DISPLAY A LEGAL NOTICE ON STARTUP

Wanna tell your friends about the do's and dont's in your computer when they login in your absence. Well you can do it pretty easily by displaying a legal notice at system start up.

Folder Option Missing

I know that some kind of computer does not allow or invalid of running .reg extension file.I just realized this after I tried to repair a couple of computer and laptop which by the way have the same issue of problem.All of the computer and laptop has virus that hidden the folder option and regedit(both required to remove the virus).

Here to restore the hidden folder:
**Must restore the regedit first
Then go to Start>Run>type "regedit">Press "enter"

Open locked folder without knowing its password

Folder locker is one of the most used application for windows to lock some personal files. There is some time when we forget the password and due to which we are not able to acess some of our personal files/folders.

Today here I am writing how to open folder locked XP without knowing its password. So here the trick for those who forgot their password of folder locked xp or who wants to get into others personal folder.

To unlock just follow simple steps : -
» Open “C:\WINDOWS”
» Then just find regedit
» Open It by double clicking there In The Left Side you will see Something like : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE just click it.
» Then find the file name software In the list and open it.
» Then Find The Name called EverStrike…. doubleclick It…..
» You will see LF30 Just click it.
» On the right Side Some thing will appear out of those Select the file named Password & Delete It.


How To Change The Recently Typed URLs List In Internet Explorer

Their are several times when we want to change the history of the typed Url, but most of the people don’t know how to do it.

The Solution is:-
Open your registry editor
Go to Start –> Run –> regedit

Find the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerTypedURLs

When you reach the key, you can see all your recently typed URLs in the right hand pane. You can double click any of them to edit them.

If you want to create a new item, right click the empty space in the right hand pane and select New –> String Value

If you want to delete an existing key, just right click it and select delete.





How to Enable Regedit back When it is Disabled by a virus

Sometimes virus disable our built-in Windows registry editing tool, which is regedit than whenever we try to open the regedit program through “run”, we get the following message:

“Registry Editing Has Been Disabled By Your Administrator”

There two ways to enable it Back:-

First way:

Use the gpedit.msc to enable the registry editor.
Go to run then type gpedit.msc
then Click on Administrative Templates
Click the System and locate the Prevent access to registry editing tools and double click on it
Click disabled in the option button then click apply and then ok .
The disabled button will make the policy into default, the computer will automatically configured it and you would be able to access the regisrty.

Second way:

If you are not able to use gpedit.msc

Select all the codes below. Copy and paste them in the Run window. Press enter, and there you are!!!

REG add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f


Hide all items on desktop

In regedit :

“HK_C_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversi o n\policies\explorer\”

and

“HK_L_M\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\ p olicies\explorer\”

create a new DWORD “NoDesktop” and change its value to “1″

You can show all the items in the desktop by chaning the value to “0″





Restrict Access to Windows Update

Again, if you don’t want your friends (or enemies) to make any changes to your system, you can consider, amongst other things changing a registry setting to restrict access to Windows Update.

Navigate to:
HCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

And to:

HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

In both these locations, create a new DWORD value named NoWindowsUpdate and set it to 1

The restriction can also be enforced by setting the DisableWindowsUpdateAccess DWORD Value to the following key:

HCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\WindowsUpdate

Refresh your desktop or restart your Windows session for the change to take effect
